In Pirin are 176 high mountain lakes famous under the nature fans as the "Crystal eyes of Pirin". They have glacial origin situated on the Alpine part on the mountain. The most attractive and visited lakes are Okoto, Hvoinati lakes, Ribnoto, Popovo, Todorini lakes, Vasilashki and others.
